Davidic leader of the returned exiles and governor of Judah (Ezra 2:2; 3:2, 8; Hag 1:1); laid the foundation of the Second Temple with Jeshua (Ezra 3:8–13; Zech 4:9). Whether he is the same person as Sheshbazzar (Ezra 1:8; 5:14–16) is under owner review on the vessels record and is not assumed here.
