Research methodology

Five research stages

  1. 1.

    Scripture extraction

Every verse of a book is read and given a coverage status. Historically researchable candidates are classified by literary type.

  2. 2.

    Historical reconstruction

Setting, rulers, kingdoms, geography, and competing date models, each tied to citations.

  3. 3.

    External evidence

Archaeology, inscriptions, ancient documents, geology, astronomy, and peer-reviewed research. News is traced back to the original findings.

  4. 4.

    Canonical cross-referencing

Typed relationships across all 66 books. Thematic similarity is never treated as historical identity.

  5. 5.

    Publication and validation

Automated checks for references, citations, chronology, geography, and copyright, followed by labeled publication.

Evidence classifications

Independently corroborated
Independent evidence directly establishes the specific claim.
Strongly supported
A substantial cumulative case, with material uncertainty remaining.
Historically plausible
Consistent with known context, but not directly established.
Disputed
Material disagreement over evidence, dating, or identification.
No independent corroboration found
A documented search found nothing sufficient. This is not disproof.
Contradicted by available evidence
Substantial evidence conflicts with the specific claim.
Not empirically testable
Cannot be assessed by historical or scientific methods. This is not a theological verdict.

Classifications proposed during research are labelled machine-proposed until the project owner reviews them.

Source verification levels

  1. Discovered: a candidate source has been identified.
  2. Metadata verified: bibliographic details have been checked in a registry or with the publisher.
  3. Source accessed: the material itself was read (the source's notes say whether that was the full text or an abstract).
  4. Claim checked: the specific passage supporting or challenging a claim was located.
  5. Human reviewed: the project owner approved the source-to-claim relationship.

Chronology

Dates are computed, not typed in. Biblical statements become constraints (“in the days of Uzziah”, “two years before the earthquake”). Sourced reign reconstructions act as anchors, and a deterministic solver propagates them into uncertainty windows. Each chronology model is solved separately and never silently mixed. Every window records the chain of statements and assumptions it came from.

Human review

The project owner is the human reviewer. Disputed or contradicted classifications, critical items, entity merges and proposed prophetic fulfillments are queued automatically. Reviews happen offline with local tools. This website shows review status but has no review controls.
